1- Control your emotions:

As poker is a sport that involves many factors, such as mathematics, logic, psychology, you cannot let yourself be carried away by emotions, as this can cost you dearly. So avoid "Tilt", this happens when the player is emotionally shaken at the table.

When this happens, try to leave the table, especially if it is a cash game table, where your chips are worth money. So it is important to play with awareness, maintaining emotional stability, as this will help to obtain better results.

2- Respect your bankroll:

The bankroll means how much you have to spend on the game. It is important that you invest in the game a value that is within your budget, a registration fee that will not be missed in your life. This will make your life easier when making your decisions. However, be aware that poker is a game with incomplete information, so it is essential to have a large bankroll to withstand the fluctuations that lie ahead.

3- Value your position at the table:

The sooner you speak in the round, the more you will need to be selective with the cards. If you are one of the last to speak, this will give you a big advantage over your opponents, as you will be able to make a decision after them. So it ends up directly interfering with which cards you are going to play.

4- Think from different perspectives:

Your main objective at the table is to figure out what your opponent thinks, and to use that information against him when making a bet. One of the biggest mistakes of a player is to think that everyone thinks the same way, so be aware that each person thinks differently and creates different interpretations for different similar situations.

5- Don't be a passive player:

Be more selective with the hands you are playing, and when playing, be aggressive during those hands. Just calling and calling won't make you a better player.  Do not forget that the amount and frequency of games that you will play, must be in accordance with your technical level and how comfortable you are with your game after the community cards are on the table.

6- Be humble:

Keep in mind that you are not the best poker player in the world, you may not even be the best at the table. So, be aware of this and always try to play with enough intelligence thus looking for evolution.

7- Study and study

To become a great poker player it takes a lot of dedication. That is why it is very important to always be learning something new. Discuss your hands, and never close your head to new theories, understand technical terms, the math of the game, see how the professionals work. Analyze the tournaments you play, where you went wrong and where you can improve next time.
