UK authorities have recently been discussing the possibility of returning to the National Championships for youth, para-sport, male and female groups. The objective is to hold an internal championship respecting the orders of social distancing and carrying out the tests of those involved. However, tournaments on the ATP / WTA calendars cannot yet be returned this year, due to the country's current situation at the moment.

The subject of sports returning came from the case of the tennis player, Youssef Hossam, who was banned from participating in the competitive modalities.

According to TIU (Tennis Intergrity Unit), the 21-year-old athlete had committed 21 violations between the years 2015 and 2019, resulting in his conviction for match-fixing.

The authorities involved had discovered that the tennis player had fixed the results of eight matches, facilitated six and asked other colleagues to take it easy on efforts against other players.

“As a result of his conviction, Hossam is now permanently prohibited from competing or participating in any sanctioned tennis event organized or recognized by the bodies responsible for the sport” - TIU communicated.
