Will someone be able to remove Bayern Munich's hegemony? This question has been asked for 9 years in the German Championship, which starts this Friday (13). The fight should be fierce for European spots, as the Bavarian club usually wins the competition with rounds in advance. However, Dortmund kept (at least for the time being) the top scorer Haaland, and are looking for the dream trophy. The Betting Academy brought a guide with the main information, and if you want to know more, on the site you will find the statistics, table, and previews of all the games in the competition.

Regulation

The German Championship is played in 36 rounds, totaling 324 matches. All teams face off in first and second leg, and the team with the highest number of points at the end of the competition wins the trophy. The places for European competitions are distributed as follows: in addition to the champion, the 2nd, 3rd and 4th placed guarantee participation in the next Champions League. The 5th place wins a place in the Europa League directly, while the 6th will have to compete in the preliminary stages of the competition.

The relegation is similar to other big leagues: the last two placed (17th and 18th) fall to the 2.Bundesliga, while the 16th makes a playoff against the 3rd placed of the second division to see who will play next year's elite.

Dates

The Bundesliga starts on August 13, 2021 and runs until May 14, 2022. The competition traditionally has a winter break, which starts after the end of the first round. This season, the break is scheduled to take place from December 20, 2021.

Keep an eye on these teams

We know this is obvious, but we cannot fail to highlight Bayern Munich. The team didn't make big moves in the market, but brought the defender Dayot Upamecano to supply the departures of Alaba and Javi Martínez. In addition, it has a new coach for this season, the young Julian Nagelsmann. Otherwise, it kept the base of the winning team.

Running outside we will have Borussia Dortmund, but their fans must not be too happy. The team has sold one of its best players, Jadon Sancho, and proposals for Haaland may arrive. Even so, the team has good conditions to bother Bayern in the table and fight hard for one of the Champions League spots.

Another team that comes in this momentum is RB Leipzig. The team is no surprise, as it has been having great seasons, including reaching far in the Champions League. However, its market was quite busy, both in departures of players and arrivals. It remains to be seen how the integration will be, as they lost the good defenders Konaté and Upamecano, however, the team brought the striker André Silva.

To complete the fierce competition for continental tournaments, keep an eye on these teams: Leverkusen, Wolfsburg, Frankfurt and M’gladbach. They make good presentations throughout the season, in addition to an interesting team game, they always feature outstanding individual players.
