Football in Brazil still remains in "pause" until further notice from governments and health agencies, however, something strange has occurred. A team from the second division of Paraná managed to move millions of reais in the betting world in a single match without even entering in the field.

Per year, in banking, bettors move more than trillions of reais in virtual bets. For these reasons, sometimes the practice attracts gangs from abroad who end up mixing bets with football in the process of moving dirty money. It seems that this ghost game was part of this.

The case happened on March 25th, where about 200 sites received bets for this supposed friendly between the teams Andraus, from Paraná and Grêmio Serrano, from Paraíba. Although there is no evidence that the match actually took place, the game yielded at least R$ 10 million in bets.

The lawyer of the paraiban club, Serranos, says the players were not their, "The team did not travel to Paraná.", while Andraus' lawyer insists that the match against the Serranos did in fact take place. And, he claimed that it was a training game, stating that he would present evidence that the match actually took place. However, no evidence had been produced so far.
